Stephenie has long had book 2, The Soul, and book 3, The Seeker, on the back burner while her involvement in The Twilight Saga films and indy film, Austenland, kept her plenty busy. The most recent update on the status of the 2nd installment of The Host series came March 2011 in an interview with USA Today. Answering questions from fans who won a contest to meet her, Stephenie responded as to the progress of the second book saying, “I have the outline written and the first two chapters.
